Brecksville Theater on the Square will be opening their second production of its 39th season, the hilarious award winning play, God's Favorite, directed by Deb Sweat!

The play is written by Neil Simon and is loosely based on the Biblical book of Job!

The story revolves around the Benjamin family... wealthy Long Islanders in the 60's where the patriarch, Joe is tested by a mysterious stranger. God has made a bet with the Devil that Joe would never turn his back on his beliefs, no matter how bad things get!!!

Playing the Benjamins are longtime local theater and radio performers, Steve Brown and Sally Spitz...The two bring a unique chemistry to the roles having worked together for over 20 years and from being next door neighbors in Broadview Heights! "Sally and I are very comfortable with each other," says Brown. "You need that to perform on stage together, especially in a Neil Simon Comedy!"

Others in the cast include Jay Hill, Adam Leventhal, Beth Lee, George Morgan III, Kayleigh Joyce and Marc Dusini

Production dates are May 31rst - June 2nd, June 7th - 9th and June 14th-15th, with Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30, and Sunday matinees at 2:00.
