[NEohioPAL] Fwd: Call for Cultural Artists and Performers

[GVF Festival Committee]

Global Village Festival of Greater Akron, a Lock 3 Festival, scheduled for
September 14, 2013 from 1p - 8p, is accepting applications for artists and
performers with variety of talents. We ask that the person or group
respectfully demonstrate a cultural performance (traditional/folkloric or
modern) they have immersed experience with and includes but is not limited
to: musics/instrumental; music/voice, dance, theater, storytelling/puppetry
or poetry; or martial arts. Henna, caricature artists, jugglers, stilt
walkers and face painters are encouraged to apply. Artists who have infused
ethnic culture into their art work are strongly encouraged to exhibit their
work.

We encourage anyone with 'Carnival' or "World Bazaar" vision to apply.

A small stipend (sliding scale) is available to assist with some expenses
