This series of master classes was designed with middle and high school aged
students in mind. Each three day Master Class session will cover a specific
and unique theater technique such as; stage combat, performing Shakespeare,
audition techniques, ResaBoxes, the Chekhov acting method, as well as
directing and stage management. Each series is taught by a highly trained
theater professional.

*MEET THE INSTRUCTORS*

*MaryLee Baker* From 1987-1997 MaryLee had the privilege of dancing with
The Radio City Rockettes in NYC, at Radio City Music Hall, Macy’s Day
Parades, Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lightings, and more. Being cast in the
original Broadway production of “The Will Rogers Follies”, and being dance
captain, was truly a dream come true. After 10 years of the grueling
Christmas Show schedule with the Rockettes, MaryLee’s priorities switched
to raising two children, and becoming certified to teach dance and theatre.
She has many years experience teaching, choreographing, and directing in
N.J., Houston, Texas, and more recently in northeast Ohio.



*Adina R. Bloom *is an actress, singer and Actors Equity Association and
S.A.G.- A.F.T.R.A. member. She‘s performed nationally in summer stock,
dinner and regional theaters and locally with such companies as Cain Park,
Ensemble Theater, Great Lakes Theater Festival and Kalliope Stage  She was
last seen on the S.C.A. stage as Scrooge in Christmas Carol Rag. Adina’s
directed numerous youth theaters in the Cleveland area and is a private
vocal and acting coach.



*Kristina Ferencie *is a 1988 alumna of Solon High School, where she has
designed and directed for 20 years. Professionally, Kris has stage managed
four of Cleveland’s longer-running shows at Playhouse Square’s Allen
Theatre and the Hanna Cabaret. Area lighting designs include *Tony & Tina’s
Wedding*, *Hedwig and the Angry Inch*, Berea Summer Theatre and the
Cleveland San Jose Ballet.



*Larry Nehring *was a student at the National Theatre Institute and earned
his BA and MSEd from the University of Rochester. He was Artistic Director
of the Cleveland Shakespeare Festival for nine seasons and has worked at
most theaters in Northeast Ohio as an actor, director, fight choreographer,
and sign language interpreter. Regional Acting credits include Porthouse
Theater, Beck Center for the Arts, Great Lakes Theater Festival, North
Carolina Shakespeare Festival, Contemporary American Theater Company, and
Buffalo’s Shakespeare in Delaware Park. Mr. Nehring is a published
playwright and proud member of Actor’s Equity Association, SAG/AFTRA, and
The Dramatist Guild.

*Jim Weaver *is a director, choreographer and performer with over forty
years of experience in theatre that encompasses the comedy of Gilbert &
Sullivan to the drama of August Wilson. He has worked with accomplished
Broadway directors such as Marcia Milgrom-Dodge, Graciela Daniele, Vinnette
Carroll and Len Cariou.  As a director and choreographer, he has worked in
New York City, throughout the United States and many countries across
Europe. As a performer, he has appeared on Broadway, off-Broadway,
regionally, across Europe, on television and film.



*Dusten Welch *is an award winning fight choreographer through the Kennedy
Center’s ACTF program and has staged violence for 33 theatrical productions
in the Cleveland area. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Ashland
University. He has taught for Ashland University, Great Lakes Theatre, Ohio
Thespian Conference, English Speaking Union, and Brecksville Theatre on the
square. In addition to his work with Solon Center for the Arts, Dusten is
currently an instructor at the Academy for the Performing Arts, and is the
Director of Fairmount Theatre Academy. * *
