*Tunes & Tales of Love from Old Ireland*

with Irish storyteller Tomaséen Foley

Called "the Garrison Keillor of Ireland," storyteller *Tomáseen Foley* has
warmed the hearts of audiences around the world, evoking neighborhood
gatherings of his childhood in rural Ireland (Teampall an Ghleanntain).
Foley made his debut with Apollo’s Fire last summer in six sold-out
concerts, when he *“regaled the sold-out crowd of 'good people of
Cleveland, Ohio,' with poetry, tales and jokes…A full-on immersion in
actual, living traditions, performed by experts and natives”* (The
Cleveland Plain Dealer). Back by popular demand, Foley returns to
collaborate with Apollo’s Fire in eight concerts, June 6-11.

*June 14 & 15 at 7:00PM
June 16 at 3:00 PM*

A close-knit family of six siblings of Mexican/Native American descent from
Chardon, Ohio emotionally reflects on the sacrifices and steadiness of
their humble devoted father, and how they overcame poverty and the
heartbreaking loss of their mother to achieve unimagined success as State
and Natonal Champions, World Record holders, and Olympic contenders in the
1970s and 1980s.

Vintage 8mm film footage, family photos, archival news articles and a
dynamic musical score, including the original theme song "My Father's Eyes
Were Watching," are woven together to create a stirring viewing experience.
This deeply uplifting journey of fatherly devotion, familial love,
perseverance, and triumph will linger in viewers' hearts.
