All the World's a Stage: Act I
A Social Skills Workshop for Kids with Asberger's, Anxiety or General Social Challenges
Ages 9 to 14
July 22 - July 26
10:00 a.m. to 12 noon
Tuition: $180
 

Instructor: Wendy Duke, M.A., Theatre Teacher at Miller South Visual & Performing Arts
Instructor:  Laura Valendza, M.F.A., Intervention Specialist at Miller South & Performing Arts
Instructor:  Angel Lawrie, M.Ed., Music Education Director at Summit Academy 

 

This one week theatre camp is designed for kids diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome, Anxiety or general social challenges.  The camp will focus on developing communication skills and social understanding through theatre activities.  Students will work on theatre and acting skills for the stage and life skills for everyday situations.

The goal for this group is to work on social skills, build friendships through common interests, build self esteem through theatre games and improvisation and provide a safe place for students to be who they are and explore creatively.
