CSF Seeking Production Assistant-Costuming Immediately
Cleveland Shakespeare Festival is seeking a production assistant with a
costuming background for the 2013 Summer Season:
Two Gentlemen of Verona, and Measure for Measure. These plays will be preformed
at multiple outdoor venues throughout the greater Cleveland area this summer.
The P.A. with costuming emphasis will work as assistant to the Costume Designer,
Inda Blatch-Gieb during the remainder of pre-production to costume this season's
company of 17 actors for both shows. Once done, the P.A. will tour with the
company as a member of the production team, assisting with all aspects of
touring - with an emphasis on tracking, maintenance, care and cleaning of the
costumes as well as assisting the designer at the end of season in the cleaning,
restoration and return of all borrowed or rented pieces and the proper storage
of any pieces added to CSF stock.
Applicants Must have own transportation and machine sewing skills.
This is an excellent opportunity for a costuming student to work with a
seasoned, professional designer as well as the chance to experience making art
within the challenging parameters of a low budget, no frills touring company.
There is a modest stipend available for this position.
