Inside Sales/Customer Service

 

REPORTS TO: Product Manager

 

SUMMARY:

The Inside Sales Representative for the Ohio Product department will
work with other members of the Inside and Outside Sales team. Will grow
existing customers, create new customer relations and meet and/or exceed
monthly sales budgets at an appropriate margin, while increasing
customer satisfaction.  Process orders, requests for quotes and
lead-time requests received by telephone, fax, e-mail or on-line store.
Will promptly process orders, quotations on standard items and other
pertinent information and relay it to customer.  Often, coordination
with other departments to promptly handle purchase orders and service
for customers as needed, with prompt follow-up. This position also
performs duties with the Marketing Department where customer contact is
a prime responsibility. 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*         Perform aggressive customer prospecting.

*         Identify customer needs and provide appropriate
recommendations.

*         Perform sales and purchase order entry. 

*         Generate quotations and respond to product bid requests as
directed.

*         Refer customers to appropriate departments, salespeople or
offices for additional assistance when necessary, with follow-up to
ensure proper connections.

*         Respond to walk-in customer needs.

*         Monitor order progress and be prepared to promptly communicate
any necessary information to the customer.

*         Support outside sales in processing orders, quotes and
contacting vendors for necessary information.

*         Participate in E-Commerce meetings to further electronic
communications with customers

*         Assist with the Vincent Lighting on-line store. 

*         Assist Product Manager with setting and maintaining product
warehouse standard stocking levels.

*         Assist with product inventory and reconciliation on a
bi-annual basis.

*         Provide Marketing and Accounts Receivable with client and
contact information for company databases.

*         Assist the Marketing Department as needed with input and
feedback.

*         Process customer literature requests.

*         Monitor catalog and sample stock levels.

*         Follow up on customer response surveys.

*         Perform other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

*         A technical theatre or production background with a working
knowledge of lighting basics is required.

*         Must have excellent inside sales and customer service
experience.

*         Good communication skills (both written and oral) are a must.

*         Must have good PC based computer skills (Microsoft Office). 

*         Must be highly organized and efficient with good attention to
details.
