Accompanist provided.  Prepare a minute of a song that shows your 
range and talent, and be prepared to read or sing from the show if 
asked.  

Medina County's most populous city is home to Brunswick Alumni 
Community Theatre.  Originally formed by area alumni to support the 
arts, we are a community theatre open to all.  The group supported 
the building of the multi-million-dollar James J. Hayas Performing 
Arts Center on the Brunswick Educational Campus, capable of seating 
1,000 with a full stage, orchestra pit, and fly gallery.  Now in our 
25th year, we are producing a bright, modern, family friendly 
production of Gilbert & Sullivan's well-known show, "The Pirates of 
Penzance"   

Cast requirements: 
(All roles are open, it should take about 35 people to really fill 
out the cast and choruses.)
Fredric, 21, Tenor
Mabel, the woman he loves, soprano.
The Pirate King
Ruth, the Pirate Maid 
Major General Stanley 
Chorus of the Major General's Daughters (many with speaking roles and 
solos)
Chorus of Pirates (also solos and lines to deliver)
Police Sergeant (Bass/Baritone) and Chorus of Police 

Cast Notes: All roles are open, but there are no AEA or guest artist 
contracts and no roles for young children.  All roles are singing, 
the Daughters and the Leads should be particularly strong vocalists.

Performance dates are July 19/20/21, with a *possible* additional 
evening/Matinee performance the weekend before.  (This is 
due to some upgrades being done in the facility over summer.  The 
schedule will become clear once school lets out in June.)
