THE CITY BALLET OF CLEVELAND
 seeks a PART TIME
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT 
 
The assistant's job is
to support the artistic and executive director in fulfilling the company's mission
to be a ballet company of the highest artistic caliber. The assistant is involved
in marketing, development, special events, and outreach programming. 
 
WORK HOURS: Part-time
Hours are flexible; some work from home possible
Monday
through Thursday with additional responsibilities for annual Uniquely Cleveland Nutcrackeraudition and Uniquely Cleveland Nutcracker performances,
Spring concert, and school outreach performances. 
 
LOCATION: In-residence
at Cleveland City Dance studios at historic Shaker Square.
                       Performances at Cuyahoga Community
College Eastern Campus
                       Outreach performances
eastern Cuyahoga suburbs         
 
ADMINISTRATIVE:
	* Research funding opportunities (corporations, foundations and individual donors) 
	* Field calls, file all information and correspondence and maintain databases
	* Manage all mailings, screen correspondence and general communications
	* Implement and oversee assigned special projects 
	* Coordinate all venues for the Company performances
	* Organize outreach in January for April and May school performances
	* Follow after all outreach performances 
	* Coordinate volunteers for the CBC performances and fundraising activities
DEVELOPMENT:
	* Maintain records of donations and other payments
	* Organize fundraisers and assist with special events 
	* Work with Parent’s Committee for November Fundraiser
	* Spring Fundraising Drive
	* Communicate with patrons and families (including quarterly newsletter and email blasts) 
	* Develop grant resources and support resources
	* Collect data from performance surveys
MARKETING:
	* Write press releases and contact media outlets regarding: 
	* November Fundraiser
	* Thanksgiving Open House
	* December Nutcracker Performances
	* Spring Fundraising Event
	* Spring-May Performance
	* Regional Dance America Northeast 
	* All Ohio Dance Festival
	* Generate and update media contact information
	* Maintain content on social media sites including Facebook and LinkedIn 
	* Assist with group sales and ticket sales
REQUIRED
QUALIFICATIONS: 
Candidates should possess excellent organizational and communication
skills and be highly          self-
motivated. Computer skills are important as well as comfort level with learning
and working with databases. Knowledge of email marketing and social media is
desired.
	* Prior dance experience preferred. 
	* Background in Arts Administration a plus. 
	* Bachelor’s degree preferred
	* Highly organized and motivated
	* Computer skills in Microsoft and use of spreadsheets
	* Ability to exercise discretion, professionalism and good judgment
	* Excellent people skills both verbally and written
	* Employee must be able to meet on a weekly basis with the director 
COMPENSATION:
Part-time salary based on experience with a four month trial period.
