A Production for Students entering grades 5 – 8.
 
 
Auditions will be held:
 
Tuesday, June 18
Wednesday, June 19
 
At Mayfield Village Civic Center from 6:30 – 9 pm (both evenings).

Please prepare a one minute monologue. Bring resume (if able) and recent photo. Arrive 10 minutes early to fill out an audition form.

Production Info:

Rehearsals begin July 15.
Performances are August 16, 17 & 18.
 
Rehearsals and Performances held at:
Mayfield Village Civic Center
 
There is a $200 production fee due before rehearsals begin.
 
 
About the Play:
A Thousand Cranes is the true, poignant story of Sadako Sasaki. Sadako was only two years old when the Hiroshima bomb fell. She seemed to be unharmed, but at age twelve, as she was preparing to run a marathon, Sadako was diagnosed with “radiation sickness” an aftermath of the bomb’s effects. With boundless optimism, she takes an old story to heart: “If a sick person folds a thousand paper cranes, the gods will grant her wish and make her well again.”
