Cleveland Public Theatre announces Auditions for

The Loush Sisters

DO the nutcracker

Created & Directed by Liz Conway, Michael Seevers, Jr. and Beth Wood

Looking to cast...
4 - 6 funny people (over the age of 18) who can sing/carry a tune/speak-sing, move/shake your maracas, and don't take themselves too seriously, to join the dysfunctional Loush Sisters. Specific characters will be created based on the actors cast. Interested in a multi-ethnic and multi-generational cast.

Equity agreements may be considered for this production

About the play...
The Loush Sisters relive their most cherished holiday memories with songs of hope, love, and goodwill toward men. Fueled by booze, fairies, and "holiday cheer," The Sisters are visited by ghosts of Christmases past that remind them how to make the Yuletide gay...er.

About The Loush Sisters...
Originally created in 2003 for a Cleveland Public Theatre special event, The Loush Sisters have become a favorite of CPT audiences, most recently performing in 2011 at PlayhouseSquare's 14th Street Theatre. The brain children of Liz Conway, Michael Seevers, Jr. and Beth Wood, The Sisters are an unapologetically raunchy, lounge-singing duo.

About the process...

There will be a workshop period to develop material from September 16th - October 21st. There will be 1 - 2 rehearsals a week during this period for some cast members.

Full rehearsals will begin October 21st with 5 - 6 rehearsals a week. Performances are December 5th - 22nd; Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays in CPT's Gordon Square Theatre.

Auditions...
Saturday 6/29: 3p-6p
Monday 7/1: 7-10p

Auditions are by appointment only and will be conducted in groups over a 3 hour period. Auditioners must attend the full session.
