> What: Do you work in film or on the stage? Want to expand your skill set to include fighting, wire work, high falls, jerk line, "ground pounding" throws and falls, and trampoline explosions? Are you interesting in upping your game while learning the basics of stunt work for film, stage, motion capture, and live events? DO you just think that stunt truing sounds like fun? Scott Sumerak, a Chicago trained stunt actor and instructor, is looking to create a Cleveland based training experience for both veteran and rookie performers. Participants will learn the basics of choreographing a fight for the camera, how to take a fall safely, the right and the wrong way to do basic utility stunts, and how to work with a partner to create believable carnage for the entertainment of others.
>
> Who: Actors, combatants, free-runners, martial artists, and anyone interested in learning how to create organized mayhem. Must be 18 years or older. THIS IS NOT ABOUT BACKYARD WRESTLING OR FILMING YOUR OWN EPISODE OF JACKASS. Participants will walk away with practical knowledge and skills to be used in controlled settings.
>
> Where: TBA: Venues are currently being negotiated, but if you are affiliated with a gymnastics facility, please contact me. Training will occur in the near-Cleveland suburbs.
>
> When: Sessions should begin latter this Summer. Initially, the workshop will be 2 hours, one night a week, for 4 weeks. Ongoing sessions will begin once a core group of participants is established.
>
> How Much: Pricing will be determined based on interest. I am only looking to cover the cost of facility rental. More interest means cheaper training sessions.
>
> If you are interested in more information, please respond to scottsumerak at gmail.com with the subject line "Teach me to die on cue!". The more people who are interested in training, the sooner we get started!
