Shakespeare in the Square 2013

"Taming of the Shrew"

Date: June 25th and 26th (Tuesday and Wednesday)

Audition appointments are strongly suggested however walk-ins will be seen
when time allows.

 

Time: 7-9 PM

 

Location: St. Matthew's Church

Callbacks:  Monday July 1st at 7 PM

 

Production dates: September 13, 14, 15      Rehearsals will begin mid-July


	
		
 


Stage Left Theatre Company will hold open (ages 16 and up) auditions for the
outdoor Shakespeare in the Square production of "Taming of the Shrew" to be
held in the historic Medina Square September 13, 14, & 15. While
Shakespeare's original script, albeit heavily edited, will be used, this
production will be a non-traditional updated version presented in a
Rockabilly setting. So bring your Elvis attitude and your Marilyn moxie!

 

Ladies Please Note: As usual Shakespeare has been awfully stingy with the
female roles in this comedy. Along with the leads of Katharina and Bianca
some of the traditionally male characters are being adapted to allow for
more female role.

Audition Requirements:

Please come prepared with a monologue, preferably Shakespeare, not longer
than 3 minutes. You may be asked to cold read from the script as well.

 

Please bring a headshot and resume if you have them, but it's not required.

 

Please bring your calendar with ALL conflicts between July 21st - Sept 15th.
