Verb Ballets in Twinsburg this Friday with Night Moves
Verb Ballets returns to Perici Amphitheatre at Glenn Chamberlin Park in Twinsburg on Friday, July 19, 2013, at 8:30pm. After a successful inauguration of Night Moves, a cultural collaboration between Twinsburg, Aurora, Hudson, Streetsboro and Solon Center for the Arts, it returns to create a magical dance presentation under the stars.

On the program will be previews of Verb Ballets newest ballets choreographed by noted Hollywood choreographer, Daryl Gray and Tommie-Waheed Evans of PHILADANCO! The only time to see the premieres this summer in Summit County! Just added Heinz Poll's, Andante Sostenuto (1988), the neo classical duet set to Mendelssohn's Piano Concerto No. 2. Featured on the evening's program is Carmen: Story of Passion (2012) choreographed by Richard Dickinson. Verb’s new rendition of the original 19th century opera proves to be exciting as audiences see obsession driving the characters to desperate acts of desire. Donald Rosenberg of The Plain Dealer described the remake of the classic as; "Dickinson has created subtle variations on the story that bring the characters and situations into fresh focus." The audiences watch the ballet unfold on stage as multiple story lines entwine for this love saga. In addition there will be a pre-show performance from
7:00-8:00pm featuring students from local dance studios.
