The Comedy of Errors

Ohio Shakespeare Festival

performing at Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens

Final Weekend, Thursday through Sunday!

"As always, the OSF troupe handles their business with precision and
teeth-rattling enunciation, making all of the language marvelously
accessible. Summer is short, but that's no reason not to hie yourself to
Akron for this always entertaining Shakespearian treat, served alfresco and
with inordinate relish by the talented OSF team." -- Christine Howey, Rave
& Pan

(We rattle teeth with relish!)

"Chaos and comedy reign supreme. Director Terry Burgler keeps the comedy
moving fast and furious. He leads the cast in laugh-provoking physical
comedy." -- West Side Leader

"Terry Burgler and his merry band of players bring a stream of mistaken
identities to delightfully mad heights in Shakespeare's The Comedy of
Errors, Ohio Shakespeare Festival's summer opener at Stan Hywet Hall &
Gardens." -- Akron Beacon Journal

(We take chaos to mad heights!)

"Equity actor Bernard Bygott leads the way as both Antipholuses and college
student Benjamin Fortin brings hilarity to his roles as both Dromios. Under
(Terry) Burgler's nimble direction and staging, it doesn't take long for the
audiences to buy that these actors are each playing identical twins, dressed
identically but behaving in different demeanors. The fact they pull this
off so well is a tribute to both Bygott and Fortin's fine acting and
Shakespeare's brilliant words, which make it clear through context which
twin is really speaking at any given moment." -- Akron Beacon Journal

"(Bernard) Bygott is a first-rate actor. He seems to be perfect for the
romantic lead, but then he reveals his strong abilities for physical comedy.
Bygott's performance is worth the price of admission. Antipholus of
Ephesus' man servant played by (Benjamin) Fortin is a wonder to behold as he
screws his rubber-like face into configurations designed to evoke plenty of
laughter from the audience. -- West Side Leader

Standouts in the talented cast include Bernard Bygott and Benjamin Fortin as
master and servant, times two. -- Christine Howey, Rave & Pan

(Bernie and Ben are a hoot.)
