Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory Outreach department is offering a very special opportunity for Adult and Teen Musica Theatre singers! In partnership with Cleveland Cabaret Project, is excited to present two days of cabaret performance and master classes with Broadway legends Liz Callaway and Alex Rybeck (bios below).

Master Classes with Liz & Alex

Monday, July 29, Baldwin Wallace
High-school-age and adult singers are invited to participate in master classes with Broadway veteran and Tony(r) nominee Liz Callaway and Broadway music director Alex Ryback. Both classes will be held at BW's Boesel Musical Arts Center, 49 Seminary Street, Berea.
2:00 - 5:00 pm
High School Students Master Class (grades 9 - 12)
7:00 - 10:00 pm
Adult Singers Master Class (ages 18 and up)
Participants will work one-on-one with Callaway and Rybeck. Participants are required to prepare two contrasting pieces and must bring sheet music. Enrollment is limited and no audition is necessary. Liz Callaway made her Broadway debut in Stephen Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along, received a Tony Award nomination for her performance in Baby, and for five years, won acclaim as Grizabella in Cats. She has also starred in the original casts of Miss Saigon, The Three Musketeers, and The Look of Love. Off-Broadway she received a Drama Desk nomination for her performance in The Spitfire Grill (Playwrights Horizons), and also appeared in Brownstone (Roundabout), No Way to Treat a Lady, Marry Me a Little, and Godspell. Other New York appearances include the legendary Follies in Concert at Lincoln Center, A Stephen Sondheim Evening, Fiorello! (Encores!), and Hair in Concert.
Alex Rybeck is a pianist, arranger, composer, and musical director, well-known for his work in theater, cabaret, and on recordings. Broadway credits include Merrily We Roll Along (directed by Hal Prince) and Grand Hotel (directed by Tommy Tune). He also conducted the New York workshop and San Diego world premiere of What the World Needs Now, winning personal praise from Burt Bacharach.  Off-Broadway shows include Wings (Public Theater) and Really Rosie (directed by Patricia Birch).
