August 5 - 7

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

If You Can Do Shakespeare, You Can Do Anything. People either love or hate
Shakespeare. Why? It can seem like gibberish or it can seem like the best
poetry one has ever heard. Can it be both? This workshop is an opportunity
to make sense of the gibberish and find the poetry. Some people will say
that only college students can handle Shakespeare, but instructor Larry
Nehring keeps proving them wrong. If you like puzzles and think language is
fun, this is the workshop for you. Students will learn some of the
technical skills needed to read and speak Shakespeare's scripts by
examining rhyme, vocabulary, character and breath. *Participants should
bring a short passage from Shakespeare to be worked on in class. It does
not have to be memorized, a passage could even be picked at random, but the
more familiar a student is with their passage the more it can be explored.

Tuition: $50.00 per session
