EACH AT HIS FORGE
by Keith Foster
Tuesday August 20th at 7 pm

Beachwood Branch of Cuyahoga County Public Library
25501 Shaker Blvd.
A  60 minute solo performance on the issues facing the city of Detroit and the Detroit Institute of the Arts. This piece is working toward the development of a full length play. Talk back will follow the performance.  Free and open to the public.

About the Piece: Successful painter Abe Idelson received a commission from the Detroit Institute of the Arts for a series of portraits focusing on the Emergency Manager's option to help decrease the city's debt. The subjects of his paintings reveal a spectrum of opinions on the debate raging between city, citizen and museum. With each portrait and story, Abe realizes his failure to achieve his own ideas and how his failure contributes to the corrosion of the Public Trust in America.
