HIGH SCHOOL GENTLEMEN AUDITIONS for:
WORKING the Musical at Magnificat High School Performing Arts Center

Attend 2 Audition Dates for Vocal AND Dance/Script

VOCAL: Monday Aug 26  -OR-  Tuesday Aug 27

Vocal Audition: (PA-2 Music Room) – no uniforms please
~Sign up for one time slot by emailing Miss Smialek; arrive 15 min before time slot
~You will sign in and stay in PA-1 Dance Room, you will audition in PA-2 Music Room, and you may
leave once you are done singing
~Prepare 16 measures of any 2 songs (1 upbeat & 1 ballad); Provide piano sheet music (If
preferred, you may sign out prepared sheet music from the PAC classroom hallway.)
~This particular show encompasses a variety of styles such as country/folk, 70s funk, and Gospel soul, just to name a few.  Feel free to use songs that incorporate a style from the show that can display your vocal range, your versatility with style, true emotion, etc.
~You may/may not be asked to sing your 2nd song so be sure to sing your strongest song first, not the
one that is your favorite, but the one that you perform the best!

DANCE AND SCRIPT: Wed Aug 28 4:00-8:00

Dance and Script Auditions (PA-1 Dance Room/Stage) -no uniforms please
~Come early to stretch yourself out
~Dress appropriately to dance and act: have hair pulled back off your face and tightly secured, bring
dance appropriate clothing, appropriate footwear, water, and snacks
~You will learn a dance combination, read from the script, and audition the dance (order may vary)
~Be sure you audition your dance combination AND do script work before you leave.

Productions will be held the weekend before and of Thanksgiving: Nov 22, 23, 24, 29, 30, Dec 1
