The Chakras in some belief systems are believed to be energy centers in your
body. When these energy centers are blocked or distressed it causes
imbalance in your body/mind system. Yoga is one of the tools that opens and
clears the chakra energies.

The seven main chakras are described as being aligned in an ascending column
from the base of the spine to the top of the head. Each chakra is associated
with a certain color, multiple specific functions, an aspect of
consciousness, a classical element, and other distinguishing
characteristics. 

 Each yoga class will be focused on one chakra. You will learn poses to
cleanse and clear each chakra as well as the qualitities, essential oils,
healing stones, and body/mind  associations affiliated with each chakra. We
will wrap up the series on week 8 with a restorative yoga class that
promises to renew, relax and refresh!

No previous experience is necessary to give yourself this gift. You can jump
in anytime and do not have to commit to the whole series.
