Coach House Theatre opens new season with Grace and Glorie

September 26 to October 13, Thursday-Friday-Saturday night, Sunday afternoon

Coach House Theatre in Akron will open its 86th season with Tom
Ziegler's Grace and Glorie, to be directed by Artistic Director Terry
Burgler. In this show, a young social worker (Holly Humes, The Fox on the
Fairway, Move Over Mrs. Markham) visits the remote cabin of a 90-year-old
hospice patient (Maureen Estelle Guerin-Johnson, Driving Miss Daisy, Social
Security), and ends up receiving far more help than she gives.

Grace and Glorie (under its earlier title, Apple Dreams)
received its first professional staging in 1991, where is was produced and
directed by Coach House's Terry Burgler at TheatreVirginia. Later that
decade, it went on to perform a limited run in New York with Estelle Parsons
and Lucie Arnaz.

Grace and Glorie was featured in last season's popular Elder
Theatre Series, four free reader's theatre pieces chosen the highlight the
wisdom, vitality and triumphs of the "silver stars" of theatre, and
sponsored in part by a grant from the Akron Community Foundation. Part of
ACF's continuing support for Coach House includes this season's full
production of the well-received tragicomedy.

Grace and Glorie will be presented Sept. 26 to Oct. 13. Curtain
times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights at 8 p.m., with Sunday
matinees at 2:30 p.m. Dinner or brunch is available to all theatre patrons,
prior to every performance, at the Akron Woman's City Club next door
(reservations required.)

There will be a special $12 Preview performance Thursday, Sept.
26 only, at 8 p.m. The official opening night is Friday, Sept. 27. Group
