Auditions for our Christmas show will be held on October 1st & 2nd that’s
Tuesday & Wednesday at 6:30 to 8:30pm  in the black box room at Tallmadge
High School.  140 N. Munroe Rd. Tallmadge, OH 44278

FrUiTCaKeS

Mix together a batch of fruitcakes, three dozen Christmas trees, 10,000
outdoor Christmas lights, a chicken pox epidemic, two southern spinsters,
an estranged old man and a Christmas hog named Buster and you've got a
recipe for a fun-filled and touching evening filled with holiday cheer.
Into this world comes Jamie, a kid who has run as far away from home as his
money would take him. At first he thinks this town's inhabitants are
"nuttier than fruitcakes," but soon he comes to admire, appreciate and
adore this nutty little town. A moving story of alienation, understanding
and reconciliation, FrUiTCaKeS provides audiences with a heaping helping of
holiday warmth and Christmas cheer.

Mack Morgan … makes whirligigs for a living. He also sells Christmas trees,
60’s
Jamie….. a runaway boy from the city, 12-14
Beebo Dantzler ….. Towns only policeman.
Betty Jane……Beebo’s wife & director of towns annual Christmas Pageant.
Little Beebo…… their son, about 10-12
Sally ……. Their daughter , about 8
Miss Sarah ….a grouchy spinster, who with her sister Alice, makes hundreds
of fruitcakes at Christmas, 70-80 (can be cast younger and made older with
make-up & clothes.
Miss Alice …. Miss Sarah’s younger sister, more gentle & caring, same as
above.
Skeeter …… a local fisherman & lover of poetry.
Mattie Sue ….. a neighbor, who has been married 6 times.
Rick Morgan …….Mack’s son
James …. Rick’s son, Mack’s grandson
10-15 Additional children ages 7-12 for pageant. Some speaking some
non-speaking (good for beginners)
