*THE 6TH ANNUAL SCA PLAYWRITING COMPETITION *(Grades 7 - 12)

Students, grades 7 - 12, are eligible to enter a short play of their own
creation (no more than 10 pages typed) into this competition for potential
production. All play submissions will be judged by a panel of three
qualified theater professionals and the top three to four plays will be
selected for production in the SCA One-Act Festival. Limit one submission
per individual. Those wishing to submit a One-Act should send submissions
along with the playwright’s name, age, grade, school, address, email and
phone number to Christine A. Madden at 6315 SOM Center Road, Solon, Ohio
44139 or email them to cmadden at solonohio.org **When emailing, please note
that a confirmation email will be sent when submissions are received.*

*Deadline for Submissions:* Friday, January 17 by 5:00 pm
*Winners Announced:* Friday, February 21

*One-Act Festival Performances:* May 30 & 31
*Entry Fee:* FREE!

Consider this one day intensive taught by published playwright and
proffesional actor Larry Nehring.

In this one-day intensive, instructor, and published playwright, Larry
Nehring will lead students through the creative writing process and help
them begin work on their own One-Act play. For those considering entry into
the 6th Annual SCA Playwriting Competition this workshop is a great place
to begin or continue work on an existing piece. At the end of the day,
students will have the opportunity to read some of their best work to
family and friends.
