Hudson Players Announce Auditions for *Lucky Stiff*

*Hudson, Ohio: *The Hudson Players seek actors for their winter musical, *Lucky
Stiff*. Based on the book *The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo* by
Michael Butterworth, *Lucky Stiff* is a zany, off beat, and very funny
murder mystery farce complete with slamming doors, mistaken identities,
missing money and of course a corpse in a wheelchair. The story revolves
around an unassuming English shoe salesman who is forced to take the
embalmed body of his recently murdered Atlantic City uncle on vacation to
Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing his uncle off as alive and
showing him the required sites he stands to inherit $6,000,000. Of course
if he doesn’t the money goes to the dogs…literally. *Lucky *Stiff is the
winner of Washington’s Helen Hayes Award for Best Musical!

Directed by Rich Jagunic, The show will run February 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22,
23, 28 & March 1, 2014. 5 men and 4 women are needed for the principal
roles with other smaller roles available. *Auditions will be held November
10 and 11 at 7pm at The Barlow Community Center located at 41 S. Oviatt
Street Hudson, OH.* Interested actors are asked to prepare 32 bars of a
song and bring appropriate sheet music for the accompanist. Actors will
also be asked to read from the script. A perusal script will be available
at the Hudson Library at least two weeks prior. Those interested in
working backstage, on sets, lights, etc, are encouraged to come to
auditions as well and fill out a form letting the producer know their areas
of interest.
