Volunteers Still Needed for The Polar Express(tm)

Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad (CVSR) is seeking volunteers to spread
holiday cheer aboard The Polar Express(tm). This holiday program is
based on Chris Van Allsburg's enchanting book The Polar Express(tm), a
young boy's trip to the North Pole.

Children clad in pajamas board the train in Akron or Independence and
travel through Cuyahoga Valley National Park to hear the story of the
Polar Express, enjoy hot cocoa and cookies, and sing carols on their way
to the North Pole. Through the train's windows, children see holiday
characters, elves hard at work . . . and Santa!

Volunteers are needed to play Santa and the elves who will read the
story, assist in creating a festive atmosphere, serve cookies and hot
cocoa, and more. Training will be provided. Be a part of this holiday
tradition that creates lasting memories for children of northeast Ohio
from Friday, November 15th through Saturday, December 21st (except
November 27th and 28th).

Complete our online volunteer agreement at www.cvsr.com/volunteer.aspx
to receive details to volunteer or call the Polar Express Hotline at
800- 468-4070 x 236.

Elves interested in volunteering at our North Pole location (Peninsula,
OH) need only show up on evenings interested with a valid photo ID. Some
costumes are available, but we encourage you to reach into the depths of
your Elfin closets and create your own magical attire to share! Children
and Elfin Mutts are welcome with adult supervision. We ask that all
Elves check in with our North Pole Coordinator by 7:15 p.m. each night!

Help us make this year's Polar Express the best one yet!
