Get Hep Swing and Light Up Lakewood are joining forces!

Please come and join us for a fun night of FREE swing music and dancing to a live band at the Lakewood Masonic Temple as part of the festivities for the Light Up Lakewood festival!

Be sure to arrive in time to take part in the easy jitterbug lesson from 8pm to 9pm. The lesson will be provided by international swing dance champion Valerie Salstrom, owner of Get Hep Swing, and her dance partner for the evening Brian Tietz.

Immediately after the lesson (at 9 PM) The Syncopated Sin Swing Band will kick off an awesome night of music and dancing until 12am. The Syncopated Sinners are lead by Lakewood's own Chris Vance of Vance Music Studios.

Everyone is welcome to come and have fun with us at the swing dance. There is no need to have previous dance experience or a dance partner. You don't even have to dance and you will have fun. This band is awesome and you will enjoy just sitting back and listening.

There is no need for special shoes or attire. Come as you are!

The Lakewood Masonic Temple is located at 15300 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107. There is a parking lot in the back and street parking too. However, this festival is HUGE so you may want to carpool, take public transportation or ride your bike. Please enter the building through the front double doors.

Please see www.GetHepSwing.com for the most up to date information on our 2 monthly dances, bands playing at the dances, group classes, private lessons, school programs, and special topic workshops.
