Who plays ball in a skirt?

Alta Weiss did it in the early 1900s while playing professional baseball on a MEN'S team! She described her skirt as "cumbersome" -- but that didn't stop her for playing some 15 seasons while she earned enough money to put herself through medical school!

Come hear her story at the Berea Library, 7 Berea Commons, on Wednesday, November 20 at 7p.m. There is no charge for this storytelling program about a remarkable Ohio Woman. For more information, contact the library at 440-234-5475.

Can't make the program? You can purchase the book at http://edenvalleyenterprises.org/bkscrdtoh.html#alta
It's a great Christmas gift for sports lovers and history lovers!
