WILLY WONKA
February 7-16, 2014

AUDITIONS
For Ages 8-18. All roles available.

Friday, November 15: open call beginning at 5:00 pm, must arrive by 6:30 pm to be seen.

Saturday, November 16: open call beginning at 10:00 am, must arrive by 11:00 am to be seen

Casting Information: All roles are available. CCYT is committed to non-traditional casting. Actors will be cast solely on the basis of talent, except in cases where age, race or physical ability is essential to a role. THERE IS NO FEE TO PARTICIPATE.

WHAT TO PREPARE:

Ages 13-18
One selection in the style of the show up to a minute in length (ie- one verse and one chorus). Accompanist provided (no acapella singing) Bring complete sheet music.
Come prepared to move.

Ages 8-12
Please learn the following lyrics from The Candy Man (we will help you practice a little before you sing alone)
Willy Wonka makes
Everything he bakes
Satisfying and delicious
Talk about your childhood wishes
You can even eat the dishes

Please bring headshot or photo (optional) & filled out audition form, found on the CCYT website, prior to coming to audition, if possible.

Rehearsals begin: The week of December 8, 2014. Rehearsals will be Mon-Friday, 4:30-8:00 pm. You will not be called every day, only when you are needed to work. Attendance at ALL tech week rehearsals as well as all performances is mandatory.

Production Dates:
Friday, February 7 - Sunday, February 16, 2014

About the show:
ROALD DAHL's deliciously dark tale of young Charlie Bucket and the mysterious confectioner Willy Wonka comes to life in a brand new musical. When Charlie wins a golden ticket to the weird and wonderful Wonka Chocolate Factory, it's the chance of a lifetime to feast on the sweets he's always dreamed of. But beyond the gates astonishment awaits, as down the sugary corridors and amongst the incredible edible delights, the five lucky winners discover not everything is as sweet as it seems. A chocolate garden, an army of squirrels and the curiously peculiar Oompa- Loompas must be believed to be seen in this spectacular new musical that is choc-full of fantastical treats to dazzle your senses.
