CPH Script Club: Yentl

In partnership with the Cleveland Play House production

Sunday January 5 at 2:00 pm

CPH Script club is everything you love about a book club but with a play in the spotlight! Check out a copy of the script and read it beforehand, then join CPH Artistic Staff for an interactive discussion and group reading of selected scenes to illuminate key themes and explore how CPH professionals take a play from page to stage!

Forget "Papa Can you Hear Me"-Yentl creator Isaac Bashevis Singer's adaptation in nothing like the film. Disguised as a boy, a young Jewish girl defies the laws of her people and becomes a brilliant student, and the most wanted bachelor in town. Adapted for the stage by Singer and Leah Napolin, the play is a startlingly modern love story and a smart and witty comedy that will win your heart! Free and open to the public. Please register at http://www.cuyahogalibrary.org/ or call 216-831-6868.

Also watch this space for information on a special OUTloud event

on Tuesday January 7 at 7 pm.

The Beachwood Library is located at the 25501 Shaker Blvd at the corner of Richmond Rd and Shaker Blvd West.
