PREPARATION
 
Recite a short poem or tell a short story
Or sing an a Capella song no longer than 1 minute
Cold read from script 
 
Provide photo/head shot & performance resume.
Know your scheduling conflicts.
Rehearsals start January 16.
No conflicts will be accepted for Tech Week March 15-20.
 
Casting for:
 
John Worthing - early 30's, is a wealthy gentleman who takes life seriously
 
Algernon Moncreiff - early 30's, is the brilliantly witty and blithely selfish nephew of Lady Bracknell
 
Gwendolyn Fairfax - early 20's, is daughter of Lady Bracknell, in love with John
 
Cecily Cardew - early 20's, is a young woman given to romantic fantasies and a more innocent country girl to Gwendolyn's sophisticated city girl
 
Lady Bracknell - 55+, is domineering, cunning, mercenary, and snobbish.  She is used to getting her own ways at times.  
(This role could be cast with a male actor, in the old tradition.  Or not.)
 
Rev. Canon Chasuble - 55+, Doctor of Divinity, is a pleasant rector on John's estate, and has a crush on Miss Prism.
 
Miss Prism - 55+, is Cecily's pedantic governess.  She is somewhat puritanical, but her softer side leans toward Dr. Chasuble.  She once wrote an important novel.
 
Merriman - teens-50's, is butler at John's country estate.
 
Lane - teens-50's, is Algernon's manservant.
