A few limited spots are still open for your young performer with Hathaway
Brown Theatre Institute's (HBTI) winter workshops and classes.


Register soon, HBTI's first day this winter session is this upcoming
Monday, December 23, 2013!!!  Some opportunities that are available include:


Prime Time:  Come and share the fun of acting, singing, dancing and
stagecraft. Each day is filled with arts activities to explore each
students' creativity and imagination. Students will work with trainer
professional instructors. Join us for a day, a few days or all five days of
HBTI's winter break classes.  Prime Time classes will be available for
Grades 1-4 on December 23, January 2 and January 3 from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
Single or multiple day registration is offered for these classes.
(Instructors:  Ryan Zarecki, Kyra Kelley, John Krol, and Aubrey Fink)
Tuition: $50.00 per day


Mock Audition for *Shrek *& *Bye Bye Birdie*:  This workshop will offer the
student the chance to experience each step of the audition process; from
the initial audition through the callback.  The student will audition for
the show they prefer and then receive hands-on-training and feedback which
will supply them with the tools needed to succeed in any musical theatre
audition situation.  The Mock Audition workshop will be available for
Grades 5-12 on December 30, 2013 from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM at the Hathaway
Brown School in Shaker Heights, OH.  (Instructors: Bob Russell, Bebe
Weinberg Katz, John Krol and Elaine Siegel)  Tuition: $60.00.


College Audition Workshop:  In this workshop the student will get the
opportunity to work with Eric vaan Baars, Associate Professor with Kent
State University's School of Theatre & Dance, to learn the DOs and DON'Ts
for musical theatre college admittance auditions. The student will need to
prepare two contrasting 32 bar music selections that show their acting and
singing ability and one monologue that should not exceed 60 seconds in
length.  The College Audition Workshop is open to students grades 9-12.
The workshop will be on January 3, 2014 from 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM at the
Hathway Brown School in Shaker Heights, OH.  (Instructors: Eric van Baars,
Bob Russell and Joanna Li)  Tuition is $35.00.


Additional half day acting and dance opportunities that are being offered
include:  Audition Techniques,  Period Acting Styles, Comedy, Getting into
Character, Tap Dance, Contemporary Dance, Dance Partnering & Stage Combat,
and Dance 201: Turns and Jumps.
