After teaching a very well attended and well received workshop in
November, we are excited to announce that director Tom Logan has
arranged to return to the Houde School of Acting on March 21-23 2014
to teach his popular workshop again as well as an advanced on-camera
workshop!

Check out photos from Tom's previous visit to the Houde School of Acting:

As a film, TV, and commercial director who has worked for all the big
studios (Universal, Warner Bros., Paramount, etc.), Tom has authored
two books on the science of auditioning and has since established
himself as the industry’s authority on the subject. Aspiring actors
who study under Mr. Logan and put his methods into practice will place
themselves at an incredible advantage over their peers when it comes
to the auditioning process and booking acting jobs. Not only does Tom
cover the essential “dos and don’ts” for auditioning, but he also
shares his own scientific strategy to getting the part.

Tom will be teaching two workshops over the course of the weekend.  On
Friday and Saturday (21st and 22nd) he will hold his popular on-camera
workshop for those that were unable to attend this past November. This
workshop will consist of:

A general lecture in which he covers the top ways that 99% of actors,
even in LA and New York, generally bomb their auditions
Some simple tactics that, if applied correctly, can guarantee the
directors will look at your performance longer than everyone else’s
A comprehensive interactive workshop that consists of a series of
filmed cold reads individually, in pairs, and in groups
Tom’s critiques to help transform your auditions to be the very best
in any market

On Sunday (23rd), Tom will teach his advanced on camera workshop.
Tom’s advanced on-camera workshop builds on the skills learned in his
beginner sessions. Tom will cover:

Set terminology
Script terminology
How scenes are shot and why we shoot them that way
Understanding “the 180 degree line” and when and when not to, cross it
Blocking terminology
Blocking actual scenes for playback
