*Beck Center Offers New Stage Combat Classes for Adults and Teens*

This Winter/Spring semester – starting in just a few weeks - Beck Center
for the Arts will be offering new classes in unarmed stage combat for both
adults and teens. This is an incredibly valuable skill for actors in the
professional and community theatre worlds.

In Stage Combat, students learn the fun and important skill of stage
combat: safely simulating violence onstage. This class covers how to
perform basic unarmed techniques such as punches, slaps, falls, and kicks
incorporating them into scene work. This is an exciting and energetic class
for both the beginning and more experienced actor. The class will be taught
by Melissa Freilich, a teacher with extensive training and experience from
both The Society of American Fight Directors and Dueling Arts International.
