Canton Palace Theatre to host Benefit Movie Showing for Local Family in
Need

 

CANTON, OH, January 10, 2014 - On Saturday, January 18, 2014 the Canton
Palace Theatre will be hosting a benefit movie showing of "Forrest Gump"
to raise money for the Fair family.  Doors open at 2:00 p.m. and the
movie begins at 3:00 p.m. 

 

Admission will be by donation to help the family raise money for
relocation expenses and the purchase of clothing and household
furnishings after their home and many of their belongings were recently
destroyed in a house fire on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 on the 1200 block
of Woodland Avenue. 

 

Jerry and Kim Fair live with their five children: Sam (19), Summer (17),
Jerry (15), Joe (13), and Jessica (11).  Sam Fair is a regular volunteer
at the Palace Theatre.

 

The family is seeking out donations of clothing and other household
items.  They are looking for men's dress pants size 44x30 and dress
shirts size XXL, men's pants sizes 41 x 30,28 x 30 and 36 x 30 as well
as shirts sized XXL and XL.  They are also looking for donations of
women's pants sized 18 and 16 and shirts sized XXL and XL as well as
Junior's pants size 10/12 and shirt size Medium. The family will need 3
Twin, 2 Full and 1 Queen or King mattress sets and bed frames and a
washer/dryer set for when they relocate to a new home. Donation bins
will be available in the Palace lobby before the movie showing
