  Those unable to attend the auditions this week are welcome to audition this Saturday, Jan. 18th at 2:30 pm. 

***Note: THERE WILL NOT BE A PERFORMANCE ON APRIL 20TH (EASTER SUNDAY)

Location: The Cassidy Theatre
6200 Pearl Road
Parma Hts, OH 44130 
(In the Greenbriar Commons, behind the Police Station)

-A 1-2 minute dramatic monologue is preferred for the audition.  If you do not have a prepared monologue, you will be given one to read.

-Bring a headshot and resume if available. 

-Rehearsals will be scheduled primarily on weekday evenings.  Please bring a list of ALL schedule conflicts between Jan. 14th and April 11th to be noted on your audition information form.

Show Info: Streetcar Named Desire opens April 11, 2014 and runs through April 27, 2014. Performances are Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 pm and Sundays at 3:00 pm.

 Breakdown: (Ages listed are approximate CHARACTER ages only)

Roles available for 6 men and 6 women 

Blanche Dubois (age 30-45)
A faded Southern belle without a dime left to her name, after generations of mismanagement led to the loss of the family fortune. After losing her position as a schoolteacher she is forced to depend on the kindness of her sister Stella. Blanche tries to continue being the Southern belle of her youth, and soon her grip on reality begins to slip. 

Stella Kowalski (age 25+)
Stella Kowalski, Blanche's younger sister,  has made a new life for herself in New Orleans with her husband Stanley, leaving her sister and the ways of the old south behind.

Stanley Kowalski (age 28+)
Stanley Kowalski, Stella's husband, is a man of solid, blue-collar stock - direct, passionate, and often violent. He has no patience for Blanche and the illusions she cherishes. He is a controlling and domineering man,
 demanding subservience from his wife in the belief that his authority is threatened by Blanche's arrival. 

Harold "Mitch" Mitchell (age 30-45)
Mitch, tough and unrefined, is also a deeply sensitive and compassionate man. His mother is dying, and this impending loss affects him profoundly. He is attracted to Blanche, who hopes that he will ask her to marry him. Indeed, Mitch is a fundamentally decent man and seeks only to settle down, but when the truth about Blanche's history comes to light, he feels swindled by her. 

Eunice Hubbell (age 30-60)
Eunice Hubbell is the owner of the apartment building. She has a personal understanding of the Kowalskis' relationship because it mirrors her own. 

Steve Hubbell (age 30+)
Steve Hubbell is Eunice's husband and poker buddy to Stanley and Mitch. 

Pablo Gonzales (age 25-40)
Another poker buddy in Stanley's regular game.

African-American Woman (age 25+) 

The Doctor - Male (age 35+) 

The Nurse - Female (age 25+)

A Young Collector - Male (age 16-17) 

A Mexican Woman (age 30+)
