The Teen Drama Project at Geauga Lyric Theater Guild
is proud to announce auditions for its fifth year
*THE CRUCIBLE *
by Arthur Miller


* Directed by Angela Miloro-Hansen, OCTA Regional & State award winning
director of I Never Saw Another Butterfly (Teen Drama 2013)*

* AGES 10-20 ELIGIBLE TO AUDITION *
Please prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic/serious monologue and be prepared to
read from the script. Monologues can be contemporary or classic, but should
be from a play or book (no movies or TV shows please).

* AUDITIONS: *
Friday Feb. 21 6:30-9:00
Saturday Feb. 22 1:30-4:00
(GLTG Arts Center, 106 Water Street, Chardon)
Callbacks by invitation only, Sunday Feb. 23 in the afternoon

* SHOW DATES: *
May 30, 31, and June 1
*Cast must also be available during one or two school days the week of May
26 for school day performances*
*UPDATE*
School performances are not yet set. Cast schedules regarding finals and
end of the year activities will be taken into account to work with a
schedule good for all of us.

* REHEARSALS:*
Rehearsals will begin around March 23. There will be a mix of late
afternoon rehearsals (4:00-6:30) and evening rehearsals (6:30-9:00),
depending on the day. Please come prepared with a list of ALL conflicts
from 4:00-9:00 daily from March 23-June 1.

A classic, The Crucible is based on the actual events and people that led
to the Salem Witch Trials in 1692. It shows the paranoia and fear that can
cloud people's judgment and lead to hysteria instead of constructive
solutions. The story subtly reminds us that humans are not perfect and we
make mistakes, but we have the opportunity to right our wrongs.

The Geauga Lyric Theater in Chardon will hold open auditions for the
classic musical:
*"The Wizard of Oz" *

* Auditions will be held as follows:*

Sunday, March 9 2:00pm - 4:00pm - CHILDREN & TEENS ONLY
5:30PM - 7:30PM - ADULTS ONLY
 Monday, March 10 7:30pm - 9:30pm - ADULTS ONLY

All auditionees are asked to prepare a short vocal selection which shows
their ability and range and to bring a current photo of themselves.
 Auditionees will also be asked to read from the script. Some auditionees
may be asked to do a short choreographic audition as well.

Promotional involvement may be asked by some cast members at The Maple
Festival In Chardon the weekend prior to opening.
