Teens ages 14-19 interested in the arts can work at Cleveland Public Theatre this summer through CPT's Student Theatre Enrichment Program (STEP).



STEP runs June 16 - Aug 10, 4pm-9pm Monday-Friday at Cleveland Public Theatre. Teens will work with professional theatre artist-mentors in the following areas: acting, singing, dance, writing, set construction, marketing, performance creation and touring. Teens receive bus tickets and healthy snacks. Those who successfully complete the program will earn a stipend and will perform in city parks all over Cleveland.

The youth must call Education Associate, Faye Hargate, to set up an audition appointment (216.631.2727 x207). Be sure to leave your name, phone number and date you wish to audition.

All auditions will take place at Cleveland Public Theatre (6415 Detroit Ave, Cleve 44102.)

AUDITION DATES:
*          Sat, March 15, 1-4pm
*          Sun, March 16, 1-4pm
*          Sat, March 22, 1-4pm
*          Sun, March 23, 1-4pm

STEP is for TEENS:
*           Ages 14-19
*           Residing in all of Cleveland's 19 wards
*           The majority with family income reported at low or very low
*           Open to working with 25-50 peers of diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds
*           With little or no previous performing experience
*           Seeking new skills in self-expression, goal setting, timeliness, self-discipline and project follow-through
*           Want to meet new people, be a part of a team, have fun and have a chance to shine
