*Actors' Summit Theater* is pleased to announce auditions

for two remaining shows in our current season.

*Auditions will be held by appointment only on Tuesday March 11, 2014; at
7:30 PM, *

at Actors' Summit Theater inside Greystone Hall in downtown Akron.



*"Ring of Fire -the Music of Johnny Cash"*

*We are seeking 1 woman * who can handle a variety of vocal styles from
country to legit for our upcoming production of "Ring of Fire -the Music of
Johnny Cash". Part concert, part biography, this musical has recently been
produced at the Milwaukee Rep and the Alabama Shakespeare Festival Theatres.



"Ring of Fire" opens May 1st and plays thru May 25th, Thursday, Friday and
Saturday nights at 8 PM; Sunday matinees at 2 PM. Rehearsals will begin
March 31st and take place evenings and weekends at the theater.  This
production will be directed by Neil Thackaberry.



*"Back to Burt Bacharach and Hal David" *conceived by Kathy Najimy (Sister
Act) and Steve Gunderson ( actor, playwright & voice over artist) with over
30 fabulous songs from their many collaborations. "Back to Bacharach &
David" is an exciting cabaret evening of some of the most romantic music of
the 60's & 70's.



*Looking for 2 women and 1 man; strong cross over vocal artists with jazz,
pop and legit vocal style*.  (1 woman's role has been cast).



This show opens June 12th and plays thru July 22nd. Thursday, Friday and
Saturday nights at 8 PM Sundays at 2 PM.  Rehearsals will begin
approximately May 5th; and take place evenings and weekends*.  This
production will be directed by MaryJo Alexander.*



*All performers, for both shows, will be compensated. 1-2 Equity contracts
may be available.*

*Please prepare *1 (one) song in the style of the show for which you are
auditioning  (Johnny Cash or Burt Bacharach), only 64 measures, also bring
1 additional song (32 measures of your choosing).  An accompanist will be
provided.  You must bring your own sheet music.   For "Ring of Fire",
actors may accompany themselves on guitar, fiddle or bass.
