FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - Rabbit Run Theater Auditions are Coming Up Soon

Audition information is now available for the 2014 summer season at Rabbit
Run Theater in Madison, Ohio.

The productions for the summer include two comedies Noises Off and The Odd
Couple as well as two musicals South Pacific and Brigadoon.

Noises Off, written by Michael Fryan, runs from June 6 to June 21.
Auditions are Saturday, Mar. 15, and Sunday, Mar. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. both
days. There are four roles available for women ages 20 to 60, and five
roles for men, ages 20 to 70. The show is directed by Ann Hedger.

Actors will read from the script, and do not need to prepare a monologue.
It is recommended that actors be familiar with the show and characters prior
to auditioning. British Accents are required for all roles. Noises Off is
a physical show involving running up and down stairs, falling and climbing
through windows. In particular, the role of Garry Lejeune falls down a
flight of stairs several times.

June 27 is opening night for the musical South Pacific which runs through
July 12. South Pacific was adapted from the Pulitzer Prize winning novel
Tales of the South Pacific by James A. Michener. The music was composed by
Richard Rodgers, and the lyrics were written by Oscar Hammerstein II.

There are multiple roles available for men and women ages high school to
adult. There is one role for a boy, ages 5 to 10 and a girl, ages 7 to 14.
Both children need to appear to be of Polynesian descent. The show is
directed by Brendan Sandham with musical direction by Edward Leonard and
choreography by Jennifer Leinweber Ritz.

Brigadoon runs from July 18 through Aug. 2. The show is directed by R.
Scott Posey with musical direction by Roberta Whitely. The book, by the
same name, was written by Alan Jay Lerner with music by Frederick Loewe and
original dances were created by Agnes de Mille. There are multiple roles
available for men and women ages high school to adult. All actors cast in
Brigadoon need to be available for rehearsals from 4 to 7 p.m.

Actors auditioning for South Pacific and Brigadoon should be prepared to
sing 16 measures of a Broadway-style song. Please bring sheet music for
accompaniment; no pre-recorded accompaniment. Dress comfortably for
movement.

Auditions for the musicals are Friday, Mar. 21, from 7 to 9 p.m. and
Saturday, Mar. 22, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Neil Simon's comedy The Odd Couple closes the summer at Rabbit Run and runs
from Aug. 15 through Aug. 30. The show is directed by Nancy Shimonek
Brooks. There are six roles available for men, with an approximate age
range of 35 to 55, and two roles available for women with an age range of 30
to 40.

Actors auditioning for The Odd Couple will read from the script and do not
need to prepare a monologue. Auditions are Saturday, Mar. 15, and Sunday,
Mar. 16, 2 to 5 p.m. both days and are staggered with auditions for Noises
Off to allow actors to audition for both comedies if desired.

All auditions are at Rabbit Run Community Arts Association, 49 Park St.,
Madison, OH. Auditions are by appointment only. To schedule an appointment
