TrueNorth Cultural Arts in partnership with Lorain County Metro Parks seeks counselors for its 2014 Summer Theatre Camp at French Creek Nature & Art Center / 4530 Colorado Ave / Sheffield Village / 44054

The ideal applicants:

...are over 18.
...have worked with children.
...can generate ideas for lessons, activities, exercises, warm-ups, etc.
...feel comfortable leading a group of 12+ campers in the above listed activities.
...have performance experience.
...have reliable transportation.

Three PAID positions are available:

DANCE COUNSELOR
Choreographs Overture & Spotlight camps. Shares dance captain/stage management duties for Center Stage camp.

COSTUME COUNSELOR
Costumes Overture & Spotlight camps. Shares costume/stage management duties for Center Stage camp.

MEDIA COUNSELOR
Maintains roster information and parent-communications. Documents camp with photo/video, updates social media daily.

In addition to the above descriptions, these positions are required to assist in all day-to-day camp-related operations as needed.

Camp hours are:

OVERTURE CAMP: Pajama Party!
Kindergarten-Preschool
June 9-13, 10:30am-12pm / COUNSELORS WORK 9:30am-1pm

SPOTLIGHT CAMP: Surfin' USA
Grades 1-5
June 16-27, 10am-12pm / COUNSELORS WORK 9:15am-1pm

CENTER STAGE CAMP: Seussical
Grades 6-12
July 7-August 10, 10am-3pm / COUNSELORS WORK 9:15am-4pm

Counselors will also work:

...one day prior to the start of camps for planning/orientation.
...the week between Spotlight and Center Stage Camps (Tue, Wed, Thu, 10:30am-5pm).
...Seussical production times/dates (August 8, 9, 10 - Fri & Sat @ 7:30pm, Sun @ 3pm).
...LCMP's 'Music Under The Stars' showcase at Lakeview Park (August 10, 6:30pm-10pm).
...the day after camp ends (August 11, 9:30am-5pm).
