[NEohioPAL] Celebrate Pi Day by Attending the Nerd Swing Dance in Lakewood on 3/14!

I like pi!  I like cake!  I like anything you make!

Celebrate your nerdiness!  Come to the swing nerd dance in your best nerd attire!  

Please come and join us for a fun night of swing dancing to live music at the Lakewood Masonic Temple! This is the longest running swing dance in the Cleveland area. Over 100 people of all ages and abilities attend this swing dance.

The cost of the dance is $12 per person or $10 for students and seniors with a valid ID

Be sure to arrive in time to take part in the easy jitterbug lesson from 8pm to 9pm with two of our most favorite swing nerds Megan Hallstrom and David Ellsworth!  

Immediately after the lesson (at 9 PM) Blues Deville will kick off an awesome night of pie themed music and swing dancing until 12am.

We feature a variety of local and national swing, jazz, jump blues, big band and early rock and roll dance bands.  You are welcome to join us just to enjoy the music.  These events are fun even if you don't dance.  

Everyone is welcome to come and have fun with us at the swing dance. There is no need to have previous dance experience or a dance partner.

Most people dress casually.  The best shoes to wear are comfortable and not too sticky on the bottom.

The Lakewood Masonic Temple is located at 15300 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio 44107. There is a parking lot in the back and plenty of street parking available too. Please enter the building through the front double doors.  

We are looking for people to make/buy and donate pies to be sold by the slice as a fundraiser for the Cleveland Junior Jitterbugs after school swing dance program.  Please email info at GetHepSwing.com if you are willing to celebrate pi with us and help out the Junior Jitterbugs program.

Please let us know if you will be celebrating your birthday at the dance or if you are bringing 10 or more people.  We may be able to offer you some special discounts.
