                        HOSEA
               Calling all Actors/Actresses 
Hosea is the biblical story
about a prostitute who has a deep desire for more than her lifestyle. She is
beginning to have a strong influence on her friends who are also prostitutes.
Her heart heavily wants to make the transition, but she needs help. What she
doesn’t know is help is on the way by a minister who is assigned by God to
marry her.

Roles we are looking for:
 
Gomer (lead):  African American female. She engages in
prostitution. She has a strong desire for a better life but needs help making
the transition. Age 20-30
 
Kelly: African
American female. Gomer’s best friend who is also a prostitute. One side of her
wants out, but the other side just don't feel it's possible. She has convinced
herself that prostitution is meant for her. Age 20-30
 
Jane: African
American female. She is the youngest of the pact. She enjoys the lifestyle and
the money that comes with it. Jane is easily influenced both positively and
negatively. Age 20-25
 
Deacon:
African American male. He is the deacon in the church. He is judgmental of
other people’s actions when he has secret sins of his own. Age 40-50
 
Bro. Carl: African
American male. Bro Carl is the newest member of the church.  He sides with the deacon in rejecting the
prostitutes from the church. Age 35-45
 
Sis. Teresa:  African American female. She is the leading
usher at the church. She shares the same judgmental attitude regarding the
prostitutes. She doesn’t want them around. Age 40-45
 
Diane: African
American female.  She is the wife of the
deacon. She is a sweet woman who loves her church. Age 40-45
 
Ashley: African
American female. She is good friends with Gomer, Jane, and Kelly. She is a
young girl with a daughter who makes bad choices. 18-25
 
Driver: African American male. The driver picks up Gomer from the strip. He has a very
cocky attitude. Age 30-40
 
Will be filming in Cleveland and surrounding areas.
 
Sides will be provided.
 
IMDB Credit.
 
Film will be entered into the Sundance Film Festival and Pan African Film Festival.
