Here's a special note from Peter about the Karamu alums to be Inducted into the 2014 Hall of Fame.

My Fellow Alums, 

Acting upon the vote of the KAA and 
the recommendation of the Karamu Hall of Fame ("KHOF") 2014 Event 
Committee, the 'Mu's Board of Trustees has approved the induction of the following alums into the KHOF this year:

National Living Legend: S. Epatha Merkerson
National Legend - Posthumous: Ivan Dixon
Local Living Legend: A. Grace Lee Mims
Local Legend - Posthumous: Chris & Lucia Colombi
Fine Arts: Dianne McIntyre
Administrator: Margaret Ford Taylor
Benefactor: Leonard Hanna, Jr.
Rising Star: Kyle Carthens

Congratulations to all of the inductees and their families as well as to all of the 
KHOF nominees this year.  The voting was close and quite competitive. 
 In fact, in the National Legend - Posthumous category, the decision was made to induct Ivan Dixon this year and Minnie Gentry during Karamu's 
centennial next year.  

So, feel free to reach out and congratulate the 
honorees and their families, and please stay tuned for more details on 
the Karamu Hall of Fame Weekend June 13th and 14th.  Thanx to all of you who participated in the KHOF selection process.
