Mercury Summer Stock kicks off their 2014 season with the presentation of Jim Brickman’s Yesterday Once More, A Musical Tribute to the Carpenters. With lush arrangements of Carpenter classics by Jim Brickman and an original story by playwright Daniel Marshall, this new musical-within-a-musical takes audiences back in time with Karen and Richard Carpenter; recapturing the music an entire generation fell in love with, and fell in love to.

Directed by MSS Artistic Director Pierre-Jacques Brault with Musical Direction by Joanna Li and orchestral and vocal arrangements by Jim Brickman, Yesterday Once More features Jennifer Myor, Brian Marshall, Melissa Sills, Aubrey Caldwell and Alex Boyd, and includes hits from the Carpenter catalog including, “Rainy Days and Mondays,” “We’ve Only Just Begun,” “Close to You,” and many, many more.

All proceeds from Yesterday Once More will assist Mercury Summer Stock in preparing for its 16th Cinematic Season, featuring a summer of musicals from the movies, including: Thoroughly Modern Millie, Sunset Boulevard, and The Wedding Singer.
