CPT SALON SERIES: Join us for up in the clouds and down in the ground conversatin' about theatre.
The Salon Series is curated conversations that will provoke our thinking about the practices and purposes of theatre today.

Meet our invited Guests:

Sally Winter (Facilitator) graduated from Baldwin Wallace College, with a degree in Speech and Theatre. She performed throughout the US doing revues and standup comedy with the Act Four Revue. In 1973 she became integrally involved with the movement at Playhouse Square with Ray Shepardson, serving in the Box Office and as House Manager for Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris. Sally has been a staple of the Cleveland arts scene ever since working with Cleveland Area Arts Council, Ohio Arts Council where she helped design the OAC's international programs, as a private arts consultant, and currently with The Cleveland Foundation's Creative Fusion Program acting as the Artist Liaison.

Scott Plate<http://www.bw.edu/academics/conservatory/academics/mtheatre/faculty/splate/> (Director) directed Exact Change, The Rocky Horror Show and Pulp at CPT. Scott appeared onstage here in Gross Indecency: the Three Trials of Oscar Wilde, and in The One Who...,, which he also wrote, in Big Box 2008. Scott's work in over 150 classical and contemporary productions has been featured on the stages of Severance Hall, Playhouse Square, the Cleveland Play House, Dobama Theatre, the Beck Center, the former Factory and Halle Theatres and Porthouse Theatre. Regionally he has directed or performed at Atlanta's Alliance Theatre, Seven Stages and the Neighborhood Playhouse, on North Carolina's Outer Banks in The Lost Colony, and at the Idaho Shakespeare Festival. Recent work includes directing Carousel at Baldwin Wallace University, Love Story: The Musical at the 14th Street Theatre and The Little Dog Laughed and performing in Next to Normal at the Beck Center. Upcoming work includes directing 'night, Mother, and performing in Seminar, both at the Beck Center this spring. He is an active voice-over artist with over 300 recording credits, and serves as Music Theatre Department Chair at Baldwin Wallace University.

Jenniver Sparano (Costume Designer) has designed at CPT for Titus: A Grand and Gory Rock Musical, M4M, Mrs. Bob Cratchit's..., G.S., The Secret Social, Why Torture is Wrong...and The Loush Sisters DO The Nutcracker. She has designed costumes for a variety of Northeast Ohio venues, including Beck Center, Blank Canvas Theatre, Clague Playhouse, convergence-continuum, Dobama, Ensemble, Weathervane Playhouse and the Pickwick and Frolic cabaret stage. In addition to her costume work, she is proud to co-produce an annual musical production to benefit AIDS/HIV service agencies in Cuyahoga and Summit counties. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Mt. Holyoke College, she also studied in Paris and is employed by KeyBank.

Ian Petroni<http://ianpetroni.com/IP/Welcome.html> (Scenic Designer) grew up near Berkeley, CA and graduated from Vassar College with a degree in Drama and Philosophy. He has been very involved with the Community Arts department of the Cleveland Museum of Art for the past seven years. Ian worked as the Properties Carpenter at the Cleveland Play House for five seasons and has created custom furniture and home improvement projects for clients in the greater Cleveland area. He has designed and built set pieces for GroundWorks Dance Theater and Cleveland Public Theatre, among others. Ian also works as a props master and sculptor, and resides in Tremont with his wife and daughter.
