Seeking an Male African American Singer/Dancer to portray Charles "Snowball" Whittier
in The Ted Lewis Orchestra: Rhythm Rhapsody Revue
Voice range: Tenor Age: 16-26 Height: 5'6" or shorter
Charles Whittier was famous worldwide as Ted Lewis' "shadow" in his famous "Me and My Shadow" routine and was a featured performer in Lewis' revue for two decades. Whittier also did a solo song and dance number in the act along with the shadow routine. By featuring Whittier, Ted Lewis had one of the first racially integrated stage revues.

Circleville Ohio's own Ted Lewis, "The High Hatted-Tragedian of Song", was one of the most popular entertainers of the 1920's, 30's and 40's. This show will
recreate Lewis' 13-piece big band and revue using his original
arrangements. This will be the first time these historic arrangements
have been performed in over 40 years!
