Actors’ Summit, Akron’s professional theater, announces a special event
this Sunday, May 4th following the 2 PM matinee of *Ring of Fire, the music
of Johnny Cash.*

Nashville recording artist, Mark Leach has appeared in several shows at
Actors’ Summit including *Becky’s New Car*, *Woody Guthrie’s American
Song*and *A
Girl’s Guide to Coffee*.  Mark will return to the stage to play some of his
original music and other tunes.  Mark’s new single “I Come >From Ohio” is
being released on iTunes on April 29th.

Mark hails from Norton, Ohio where he grew up working side by side with his
family in Leach’s Meats & Sweets.  Many of the themes of Mark’s songs focus
on everyday life, growing up in a blue-collar town.

In *RING OF FIRE* no one attempts to imitate Johnny Cash.  *RING OF FIRE*,
through performances of the music Cash recorded through his sixty year
career, attempts to reveal the character of this American icon.  The
Actors’ Summit production features a cast of 4 actor – singer – musicians
plus three additional back up musicians.

*RING OF FIRE *has a preview performance on May 1 with the official opening
on Friday night, May 2.  *RING OF FIRE* is currently scheduled for a 16
performance run, closing on May 25.  Performances are given Thursday,
Friday, and Saturday nights at 8:00 P.M. and Sundays at 2 PM, and take
place at Greystone Hall, in downtown Akron.  The show is appropriate for
all ages.  A free dessert reception with the cast follows the opening night
performance on Friday, May 2.

*Tickets:*

Tickets for *RING OF FIRE* are on sale now through the box office at
330-374-7568 and online at www.actorssummit.org.  Preview tickets (May 1)
are $20.  Tickets for all other performances: $33 for adults, $28 for
seniors over 65; and $10 for all full time students under 30.  Mr. Leach’s
performance is free and open to the public.  If you are not attending the
performance on Sunday, May 4th, please arrive at the theater at 3:45 PM.
