Fresh off its sold out premiere at CPT Big Box, Funnel Cakes Not Included
takes the stage at the Conservatory For Performing Arts (CPA) for two
performances!  This forty-five minute solo performance piece is not to be
missed!

Funnel Cakes Not Included is a labor of love. Well, a labor of love, severe
depression and lots of therapy (both talk and shock.) The show takes a
humorous look at the more entertaining aspects of suicidal depression and
how it has colored the life, parenting, career, and day-to-day survival
skills of it's narrator. The show combines material created while
reflecting on a yearlong adventure through a suicidal amusement park of
fun which included attractions like Psych Facility Land and Electro-Shock
Wonder Village.

The show, written by Deena Nyer Mendlowitz, starring Anne McEvoy, and
directed by Mitchell Fields, is a collection of true monologues about being
mentally ill. The production illuminates the distorted lens of a person
living with constant suicidal depression, combining a mix of the dark humor
and harsh realities involved.
