Conflict is an integral part of storytelling. This class is designed to give the actor the necessary skills when dramatic conflict calls for physical violence in the contemporary theatre. The first 3 weeks will cover basic technique for domestic violence and unarmed fighting. The last 3 weeks will develop learned technique into performance quality skills, and integrate knife, gun and other contemporary weapons.
Safety is critical on stage—not only for an actor’s well-being, but also for their confidence and performance consistency.
