KENT BLOSSOM ART - VISITING ARTIST SERIES

The terrific Kent Blossom Art visiting artist lecture series continues
next week at Kent State University! All lectures take place at 6 p.m. in
room 202 of the Art Building (400 Janik Dr., Kent, Ohio) and are free and
open to the public. Next week's visiting artists are:


TUESDAY, MAY 27
John Monti (Sculpture)

John Monti lives in Brooklyn, N.Y., where he is professor of fine arts and
sculpture coordinator at the Pratt Institute. His work is included in
major private and public collections, including at the Metropolitan Museum
of Art, Brooklyn Museum, Yale University Art Museum and the Wakita Museum
of Art in Japan. Monti is also a National Endowment for the Arts grant
recipient.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 28
Alex Olson (Painting)

A resident of Los Angeles, Alex Olson has work in the public collections
of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art
Chicago and the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis. Her paintings have
appeared in solo and group exhibitions from coast to coast and in the
United Kingdom. Olson has an M.F.A. from the California Institute of the
Arts and a B.A. from Harvard University.


The visiting artist lecture series will continue through late June. More
